The birth of brunch is owed to the English writer, Guy Beringer and his inspiration: the hangover. The term was coined in the 19th Century to describe a Sunday meal for “Saturday-night carousers” to slowly shake off their headaches and calm their gurgling stomachs. If someone needed to chase the meal with a hair-of-the-dog cocktail, nobody would judge.
And so the mid-morning gastronomic adventure continues at Great John Street bringing family and friends together over an offering of brunch favourites including bottomless prosecco and Mimosa.
